The Facilities Engineering Civil Section provides design and project management services for a wide variety of project types. The Civil section typically serves as the project manager, engineer and construction manager for projects.

The section provides the following services:

  • Engineering, design, project management, and construction management services for civil, structural, building envelope and landscape architecture projects including:
    • Site designs
    • Grading and drainage
    • Athletics fields
    • Surface and structured parking facilities
    • Site utilities
    • Building renovations/repairs
    • Building envelopes
    • Masonry restoration
    • Reinforced concrete condition surveys and repairs
    • Bridges
    • Campus beautification projects
  • Holistic and in-depth diagnostics of facilities for the Structural and Building Envelope Systems, to assist with asset management through the planning and validation of deferred maintenance, preservation, and capital renewal projects. 
  • Facility condition audits, prioritized repair and deferred maintenance planning, and capital renewal programming.
  • Moisture Mitigation; in-depth investigation and analysis of a facility’s Envelope System to understand the underlying source of the symptoms and real source of moisture penetration, to provide an array of solutions to resolve the moisture problems.
  • Program management for utility mapping, bridge maintenance, underground utility structures and pavement maintenance.
  • Professional surveying services using state of the art GPS and reflectorless technology under the direction of a licensed Land Surveyor.
  • Utility locating services to support “call before you dig” or “Dig Safely New York” and construction support.
